As an employer, are you eligible to have a portion of your training costs paid?
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant (CAJG) is a way for employers and government to support training that leads directly to available jobs or increases a worker’s ability to retain a job. Employers know what training is required for the jobs they need to fill. Through this program, employers participate in the training decision that will equip their current and future workers with the skills they need to fill available positions. This grant will support new training initiatives not currently being used by employers.
Employers must be willing to invest in their current and future workforce. Eligible Alberta employers must have a job vacancy in Alberta that needs to be filled and they must have a current or potential employee who needs training to fill that position. The CAJG is also available to increase the skills or competencies of current employees. The expectation for future workers is the individual will be hired upon completion of the training.
